I have seen folks posting covers they have made for their stove to add counter space when not using the stove.  Here's what I've done.  I have a 150 and of course there is not much of a counter.  I bought a bamboo tray with handles that fits perfectly over the stove.   IMG_0653.JPG
The stove dimension are 13.5 x 18 inches by about 2.5 inches at the highest point, which is where the knobs are.
The tray is 19.5 x 14 x 3". No modifications to make. Just flip it upside down and place it over the stove top.

This is what you get.
Add some nonstick liner and you have a nice counter space. It also doubles up as a lap tray.  I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Nice application! My 199fks has a 3 burner, and a tray that shape is tough to come by. I found a nice bamboo cutting board and stratigically glued some 3/4" poplar blocks to fit down into the top grate and keep it from sliding around.

Wish I'd thought of that - would have saved myself some time...lol.  Great idea!
