Thanks. If I end up that way, I would like to know what campgrounds are good. It would also be nice to meet up with some people on here.

We are headed for Memphis for about a week first part of November.  Then to Pensacola area for a few days on our way to Fort Lonesome, Florida.  About 35 miles east of St. Petersburg.  Our overall favorite Campground is Fort Pickens National Seashore on Pensacola Beach.  If you have a Golden Age National Park pass camping is half price.

Okay you guys, if you head to Florida down I-65 you better stop or at least call me as you pass by Prattville (10 miles from Montgomery).  Fort Pickens is a nice place, Dave.  I did see a man get arrested for killing a rattle snake there years ago.  I wanted to give him a medal for killing the poor little protected species.  By the way Retro Man, we lived outside Akron in Canal Fulton for a  while.  Maybe we can exchange a story or two.

Lol... no problem jim.
Actually,  I would be stopping in GA on the way for about a month. November that is.
Around the newnan area if I could find a decent camp near there.

I know Newnan, first town of any size past Atlanta.  I can't help with campgrounds.  I have looked a couple of times at some around Lagrange, Ga., but have not yet made that trip.  Near Lagrange is Pine Mountain, Ga.  In that area is Callaway Gardens which has a nice Christmas light display that should be up in November.  Not far North of Lagrange is Warm Springs, Ga., the summer home of President Franklin Roosevelt.  Also around Pine Mountain is an animal drive through safari which is nice.  I rented one of their dented up vehicles rather than drive my own vehicle around the animals.

Lol... I would have rented one too.
Thanks for the camp tip.  If you happen to run across one, let me know. Want to visit my nephew. Haven't seen him since he got out of the airforce a year ago. Appreciate any help on camp.

Well it ended up AZ this winter. Great sunsets but desert nights are a bit chilly.  20190207_162937.jpg  20190208_143138.jpg  20190209_144427.jpg

great photos  sorry we could not meet you. Plenty of snow in Reno thank God I have plenty of firewood for the stove. Biggest thing is HBO is still on line. My friend in Shasta has been without power for over a week. Be safe
