Hi All,

Haven't been back here in a while- Been Camping Instead, yeah!  ðŸ˜

We've got a small honda generator, EU2000i, that works fine for our 6000btu AC
as long as we don't use the eco mode.  Not enough amps when the gen has to spin up.

Have seen these on the market, MicroAir Easy Start.

Wondering if we could run our EU2000i on "eco mode" with one of these?

Anybody using one?

Also, fixing the floor in ours and will start a new thread with pix as that goes along.
Crummy chipboard flooring and water doesn't mix, haha!  ðŸ˜Ž

Thanks for posting info on the Micro Air Easy Start! We have a 13.5k AC UNIT that will run on 1600 watts, but needs a lot more to start the compressor. I ended up buying two Smarter Tools 2000w gensets (too cheap to buy two Hondas!) and chaining them.... works fine, but I have to lug an extra generator around. After seeing your post, I researched the Micro Air products and it looks like they are commonly in use on boats. I guess the determing factors in any application are the Locked Rotor Amperage requirement and the Running Amperage requirement. Looking forward to feedback from anyone with experience!

Further research turned up this article about Micro Air installation in an RV:

My last posts links to an article where an RV owner was able to run a 13.5k AC on a single Honda eu2000i generator in eco mode. Looks like the Microair Easy Start #364 is the ticket! I really don’t like running gas engines in a campground.......

Generator update for the 195.
I have the Yamaha ef2000is.
It will run everything and charge the battery. Except the air conditioner.
