A couple of drawers in our new Retro do not close by themselves or stay closed.  I know nothing about self closing drawers but I looked inside and there are orange tabs on either side that can be moved toward the drawer opening.  It seems this is where they should be so I moved them all.  Afterwards checking the drawers that aren't working I noticed that the orange tabs had moved back to where they were before I moved them.  The drawers that worked the tabs had not moved.  Any ideas on how to adjust them or can they be adjusted.  Thanks for any input. I haven't looked at mine, but have noticed they are opening now during travel and didn't used to.  Now that I see this, I'll have to look at mine to see what I can figure out...

Never knew the orange tabs were in the draws, I will have to look at mine.  Ours were sliding out during travel so I put in the plastic child restraint latches and it has prevented the draws from sliding out.

Jim, those kid proof latches did cross my mind.  😁  .Today I took the worst problem drawer apart set it up on the floor and it worked great.  So I'm thinking.  Maybe the drawer is not going in far enough to catch that orange tabs.  I measured the draw depth on the good drawers and they were about an inch deeper.  So I took out the wood frame behind the drawers, cut an inch off the top part and screwed it back in.  So all the drawers now reads the same and the bad drawer now works.  Still not perfect.  Some adjusting to do.  Wish I knew what I was doing.

We have one (the top most) that will no longer close by itself, but it (and all the others) still stay closed when traveling.  Thanks for the very clear pictures.  I'll check ours too and see if I can figure it out.  Good job and good luck.

The top drawer is the one that I am having problems with too.  I just can't get it to stay closed.  Our dealer is suppose to get a phone number of the cabinet maker so I can talk to someone about it.  Stay tuned.

Please pardon my ignorance, but what technique is used to get the drawer out so you can look at the orange tabs.  I tried to pull and lift, but it did not come out and I do not want to break the drawer.

Jim, pull the drawer out as far as it will go.  There will be a black plastic tab that you will see on the outside of both slides.  Push one down and one up as you pull the drawer out.  On mine, I believe the one on the left goes down and the right goes up.

Well, dog gone.  Thanks Dave, I did get the draw out and low and behold;  The box at the end of the runner is there, but the red / orange locking devices pictured above were never installed.  If I had understood this during the warranty I would have pushed to have it corrected.  However, the child locking devices have worked fine, so I will let by-gone be by-gone.   Thank you Dave, for adding to my knowledge base.

Mine too, in case I have to mess with mine.  BTW, the wife just told me our top drawer is now closing like it should, on it's on.  Perhaps we had it too loaded with stuff before.  This is the one knock I have on the 177 - too small of a ktichen and too little storage.  But with the floor plan, there was no other way.  All in all, we love our model and will stay with it for now.

Update;  My Retro dealer contacted Riverside and they said there is a problem with some of the drawer slides.  They will send the new slides to the dealership to be installed.   So, it wasn't just me (and some of you).

Thanks for the pics. That always helps when you get a good view.
