Howdy folks,
I am changing out the blinds for curtains, and in removing the blinds covering the dinette picture window, I discovered that the installers had a hard time deciding where to drill the holes. Any suggestions on what to use to fill these? They will be covered by the curtains but I'll still know they are there. Would regular wood filler work? thumbnail (24).jpg

9 tries before you can find the right position. A template is not that complicated to do it seems to me!

To fill the holes, it is best to use sawdust from the same wood mixed with wood glue. In your case I doubt that it is possible then the best will be to use plastic wood with stain mix to make the same color as the rest of the woodwork around the holes. It is also possible to use epoxy but you will not be entitled to error.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Teardrop-Quebec. The more I think about this, the more I think Riverside should do something to correct their installer's error. At the very least, I think they should send me some of the wood grain trim tape they use on the paneling to mask over the almost guaranteed eyesore job I am going to do in trying to match the stain and fill the holes. I'll see how this goes.

This is on condition that you can find the people to contact at Sideriver RV. I have been trying for two days to find emails from after-sales service managers without success.

Does anyone have information and email?

Hi Mark, I was pleasantly surprised with Riverside's promptness. I sent them the email last night and received a reply from Connie in the parts department this morning that they would send complimentary putty and seam tape out this week.

I have received replies from Merv Lehman: merv@riversidervs.net (who answered questions about lift kits) and from Connie Wilfong:  parts@riversidervs.net (who answered the email about the screw holes.)
Hope this helps!
