We take delivery of our Retro 193 in a couple weeks. We are first time RV owners. I’d appreciate any feedback from other 193 owners.

Go over it with eyes like a hawk.  Open everything, run everything, shake everything.  I would even take it down the interstate 25 miles and the back (50 miles total).  If anything is wrong you want to find out early on and try to get dealer to make right. Ours is a 195, but picking up a new trailer would be the same.

On delivery day take your time and ask lots of questions during the orientation. "Camp" in the driveway to get familiar with the way things work. Stay safe and have a good time.

So, when u pick up I would use your phone and record the whole run through thing.  Make sure u understand what they r saying before moving on.  You will have operating manuals for everything.  Never leave home without them. I purchased a 193 silver package last year and love it.  After having a couple road trips under my belt decided to make a few changes/upgrades. Going to the beach in a few weeks so will see how my new changes work.

Another good ideal is to try and book a few days at a local campground near dealer if possible. This way u can take your time and go through everything.

+1 to the immediate shake-down trip. We did that, and could call the dealer with a few follow-up questions. Also, from our experience, be prepared to give it a good cleaning ... inside of cabinets, everything. The typical RV "dealer prep" isn't what you'd expect from a auto dealer delivering a car. You'll likely find a good bit of sawdust, aluminum shavings, etc. Taking a full roll of paper towels/microfiber towels, your favorite multi-purpose cleaner and a vacuum on your shakedown is worthwhile.

What upgrades did y’all choose?

So on the right side of sink above the drawer added a fold down shelf and added a outlet above the drawer. Needed a better spot for coffee spot. Then added under trailer with led light strip. I think the awning lights are to bright. Like ground lighting better. Added two ottomans with storage for shoes or what ever. Couple of other tiny other things. I just ordered a 12 volt dinette light.
