did not remove hood just ran tile up to it. Have some oak molding to finish it off. Be careful removing switch plates. The wires are so short I do not know how you would  repair if one got broke. The sure did not leave any extra wire.BTW lowes had the tiles 4 12x12 for $12 now they are $10 each (wow) the pattern I used was discontinued so I bough a lot of extras. PS also did our Jayco with full size kitchen glad I had extra. good luck GBA!!SVJ

Looks great! Could you post a picture of the whole area. We have a 195 and are think of doing the same. Curious to see how you end the tile that was not the door frame. TIA

did same thing as door  but used a 3/4" piece of oak molding got it from Lowes. Will try a picture but my PD has made shaking worse and all my photos are blurry. GBA!!SVJ ps stained the piece to match Retro cabinets
