Just put a deposit on a 2017 199 but won't be able to pick it up until March. The dealership asked if they could use it for an RV show in Columbus in February. Since I'll be in Clearwater for the month that means March.

I camped with my parents when I was a teenager and they lived in an RV when they retired so I have been around camping / campgrounds most of my life. This is my first RV of my own and I'm really excited to try it out. I am on the verge of retirement myself and I wanted to see if this would be a viable option for me.

I'm not looking to do much if any boondocking but look forward to the freedom that the lifestyle affords. I am single (widowed) and all my children are married now and starting their own lives so I have very little tying me to my roots here in Ohio.

My reason for joining the forum is to gain insight on the product line and to be as informed as is possible. I've already picked up a couple tips that make the time investment worth it. I've been a member of other forums and hope that my experience here is better than before.

Thank you all in advance for the knowledge you share.

We picked up our 199 just over a week ago, headed to the beach in a few days to do a little beach fishing and kayaking.

We've discovered 1 warranty issue: A defective tv antenna. No biggie.

The only issue with the camper itself is the lack of outside accessible storage. We overlooked that. The little door on the outside storage under the bed is SMALL. Most stuff will have to be carried in through the trailer. We can live with that, but I'd change it if I could.

Happy Camping!

Nice looking rig. I know what you mean about the outside storage but I guess since I am towing with a Ram 1500 I can put things in the tonneau-covered bed of my truck. I might eat those words going forward but the floor plan was so desirable that I couldn't resist.

Since you mentioned a TV, did you mount it in the factory suggested spot at the foot of the bed?

If you ever get or want to go to North East OH, let me know. I know a couple awesome campgrounds.
