Hello all! We put our deposit down today on a 199FKS, and can't wait to pick it up. We're not patient people, so we took one that's on the lot instead of ordering. We actually went there with the 189R in mind, but couldn't get past the lack of drawers in the kitchen (we could have ordered one with no oven, which would have provided 2 drawers, but again, not patient enough). The 199 has SO much storage and I like the way the bed is more separated from the kitchen.

Husband and I started out camping in a pup tent with a hibachi grill. Moved to a dome tent, then a big tent when the 2 kids came along, then a pop-up, and most recently a hybrid travel trailer (pop-out bed ends) that has served us well for about 10 years.  Since the kids are now grown, we don't need a camper that sleeps 8 people, and we love the look of the Retro.

We have a trip planned to Big Bend National Park this spring - can't wait! I know I'll be using this site a lot for tips and tricks and advice - thanks!

The 199 has that great armoire and some extra wiggle room up front too. Mine SHOULD arrive today. Congratulations!

Yay for the 199! We love ours! You'll will get the new configuration on the gray tank. I'm still trying to get that changed so my sink drains into a separate gray tank. I cook therefor I wash. Enjoy! We take ours out at least one weekend a month. We live in San Diego so we camp Year round just using a space heater. That furnace is too loud, but it works great. The extra space of the slide out is terrific so are the drawers for cloths and the front kitchen.

Thanks all! More good news - we sold our hybrid camper (in just 2 days on Craigs List), so now we have the space to bring home the Retro! We are picking it up tomorrow, and I've already been shopping! [smile]

Our new 199 is in our driveway, getting stocked and ready for a trip in April. Even though it's a 2017, it still has the kitchen sink going to the black tank, instead of the gray. The dealer told us that if it became an issue, they could submit it to the manufacturer to repair, and see what they could get out of them. Apparently they've done the change on others, so it's not difficult to re-plumb, but whether or not the manufacturer will pay for it is the question. I guess we'll wait and see - we always tended to fill up our gray tank much faster than our black in our last camper, so this might work out just fine.
Looking forward to our first trip!
