Hello, folks,
An obvious newby....I struggled mightily to get the mattress out of my used 2016 166...an upgrade Denver Mattress, before storing for winter. Did not want to see it chewed up by mice. Realized that someone had folded it in half to get it in there and now it is permanently bent in the middle...probably not usable.
Am I being over cautious about the mouse issue? It’s stored outside in a commercial facility.
Any suggestions on a mattress that is easier to remove?

best thing to do is mouse proof the unit. Both of my tt are mouse proof . It takes time but worth the effort. The hantavirus is way more serious than a chewed up mattress. GBA!!SVJ

I’ve had great luck with Grandpa Gus Repellants in both my boat an my Retro 176s.  I get it at the local Family Farm and Home store, but you can order online and Amazon. I just scatter them inside and in the storage compartments.  Have seen zero sign of mice since using the product.

I also use a mint spray which they hate the smell. Best to keep them out of vehicle period. I have had them eat the wires in my classic cars .We have pack rats and field mice in the desert and since the neighbor got her cats almost zero critters running around.I will try Granpa Gus next time I go to the feed store.GBA!!SVJ
