I have read the posts from the past years re lift kits. I have a 2019 179 SE that apparently has a 2" lift on top of the axcel. My trailer still is getting damaged from beneath the side panel. I assume I have been hitting something, although I am unaware of the incident. I rarely drive off road.
I have submitted pic to Riverside RV and asked for their opinion. I believe an additional lift is in order, I have a visit with my dealer on 8/14 and will see what they say. Are any of you new owners of 2019 or newer trailers experiencing the same ?

Hi Mark,
Your axle to frame connection looks the same as mine (Model 181b). I think your trailer is  stock, not lifted. I ordered a lift kit, tried to install it and discovered the holes were spaced wrong on the kit (wrong kit... dealer’s mistake... reorder in progress). My question after seeing your pics, is why some of the other lower stuff, like the black/gray water drain didn’t hit first. Maybe something was kicked up by the wheel??

Fireblot, Yes, I think it is stock. I have decided to replace it with a 4" lift. I now believe I ran over something narrow hence damage to the panels and not the plumbing. Am also beefing up the rear springs on the Highlander and have added a double step to the Retro.

Joe, steps were bolted no cutting welds. Had to add 1/2" spacer. Had to trim the siding just above the step and below door threshold. Local RV guy  GAVE me a trim piece he had in a bin. Silicone glue seems to hold it ok. 20190824_193427.jpg Back to Tahoe tomorrow. Fallen Leaf Lake for 4 nights. No hook ups, a minor test of the systems. I do have solar panels and they have water spickets. No dump stations tho. Will have to find one on our way out. I hear Richardsons has one BUT they won't allow us on the property with our dog. Screw them.

I thought Calif would be dog freindly. Worse than nevada we planned a trip to Burney Falls by Shasta and was told leave the dog home. I cannot go anywhere with my new service ( assist) Lab . They make you feel guilty even being 100% DAV they still give me a hard time. Have a good trip and be safe.

Joe, Kalif is generally dog friendly. Richardson Resort IS NOT. We tried to eat at the lake shore restaurant and were denied access to the road leading to the restaurant because we had a dog in the car. The dog was not going to get out of the car, NO MATTER! Hope to find a dump site by the Y before we head up HWY 50. Taking the smoker, rib and X rib beef roast, MMMMM MMMMMM good!

Hello,
I am interested in increasing the clearance of my 2018 177SE and, in comparing my trailer to yours, it looks like maybe I have the stock as well. I am curious if you went ahead and replaced yours with a 4" lift or added onto the existing support. Did you increase the size of your tires afterwards? Thank you for any info!
