We had a late Friday afternoon meeting in Pueblo, CO, so we reserved an $18 no frills spot at Lake Pueblo State Park in the Juniper Breaks Campground. Loop G, Spot 174 was on a high bluff overlooking the reservoir. Our neighbors included a five-big-dog-pack running at large and fighting, three separate but related domestic units (owners of the various dogs) engaged in loud squabbling, two intoxicated people (not related to the above noted units) screaming at each other across the loop regarding the location of the pit toilet, and a very nice family with three young children out for a quiet weekend at the lake. Everything quieted down around 1:00 AM. Free entertainment and a clean $18 bed, bath & kitchen -- this is what makes owning a little Retro so much fun! PS- Three park rangers were headed into the loop as we were leaving in the morning.
