Had an excellent trip to a park on the PA-NY state boarder recently to Ives Run - part of the Tioga-Hammond Dam project/recreation area built by the Army Corp of Engineers to control water on the Susquehanna after flooding from Hurricane Agnes in '72.
We were tipped off by another RV couple and definitely agree with them it's a beautiful campground. Open, spacious sites. Very clean. The area has 650+ acres of lake, boating, hiking, nature trails, swimming beach. It's close to the the Penna. Grand Canyon and about an hour south of Keuka Lake, in the NY Finger Lakes (with wineries! Very good wine in fact!). And the charming town of Wellsport, where we found a good local brewery. Good time and worth considering if you're headed to the area.
Reservations are via Recreation.gov.
You can kinda see our Retro across the lake (reservoir). We're tucked behind a tree to the left of the most obvious RV...

And a snap of the PA Grand Canyon. The big abyss out west is definitely "grander," but this one is certainly greener! 😁
Nice hiking there, also.

There was also with a local maple syrup stand selling maple ice cream, maple-flavored coffee, maple shakes, maple lattes, maple cotton candy, maple sundaes, as well as maple syrup and typical maple-leaf sugar candies. Good stuff and fortunately much of it wasn't tooth-achingly sweet.

It is a nice area, we are headed there this weekend.  Too bad we missed you its not too often that you have two retros at one campground and it would of been nice to meet another owner.

Well, here's hoping you the weather we had: it was lovely. And, agree, that would've been cool. Maybe we can connect and plan a "Retro Weekend" there next season ... could be fun!
