Hi! I have a 2017 176FK that I only use as a day camp where my boat is located. I am connected to city water. I do not use the hot water heater/tank. So I keep the tank always on bypass. Yesterday, just out of curiosity, I check the tank by pulling out the rod. I released the pressure first and when I took the rod out, water kept pouring out. I had to turn off the city water to stop the water. Shouldn't the tank be empty since it is always on bypass? What am I doing wrong? Thanks much! Marcel

I had similar issue last spring . My was faulty check valve but before I found it I removed the by pass assembly . One of the valves was leaking and it was to hard for me to try to replace it with the plex tubing the clamps are a bugger to remove and replace without the correct tools.I used the flexible white hose with nylon reinforcement works fine. And used ss hose clamps have not had an issue. GBA!!SVJ ps do not forget to check 12v water pump back flow valve might be open.

Great! Thanks for that info, Joe. Pardon my ignorance, but where will I find the 12v water pump back flow valve? Thanks much again. Marcel

Macel, The one way valve is inside the water pump. On my 179 the pump is accessed thru a door next fo the heater. I got the dealer to replace the pump because it was unde warranty. I would assume that even tho your water heater is on bypass the reverse flow thru the one way valve is why the water heater is full of water. Look up the subject on Youtube, lots of info and step by step to replace the vavle in the water heater, But, warrenty may be your best bet.
