We recently purchased a 2018 (12/17) Retro Jr. 509, the price was right so we bit the bullet... This is not our 1st camper... We downsized from a 27' Nomad that was at a point it was nickel and diming us to death... This little teardrop was priced really right... In fact, two salesmen from Braun's told us that it was "A no brainer"... We already had most of our camping gear purchased, including a custom made rv queen mattress... In fact, with all the problems with the other camper, we had reverted back to tent camping!!! But three years ago we headed to Milwaukee and turned left... All the while sleeping in the bed of our pick up truck, hauling a 8'x4' trailer with our "kitchen" in a truck work box, and our other gear, including solar panels, in tow... So we figured if we could that for four months, we could definitely do a week or two here and there with the 509... So here we are... 🙂

Have a great time and thanks for sharing. We are stranded for the winter, having stored our retro so I am dreaming and living vicariously through other people until spring!

Thanks for the welcome!!! Now for a question... As we purchased this 509 used, and we DO have the owners manual...  The owners manual provides ZERO info on the rear hitch weight (1-1/4")... Just wondering if anyone does have this info??? Right now we have a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter with a cargo carrier rated at 50#... We plan on carrying an empty cooler here, BUT I would still like to know the capacity of this hitch... Thanks in advance!

If you are still looking for hitch info, you could try calling Riverside Parts operator @ 260-499-4578.
