That is exactly what happened to me when my RV was delivered. I figured it out by accident.

The furnace will do this if it fails to light after a few tries. This happens to mine when it's been off for a while. I'll hear it run, spark and few times, but not light. It then shuts off and I have to turn it off at the thermostat to reset and then it lights on the second attempt.
Note, that I'm going to swap out the thermostat, as the factory one has about a 10 degree swing. So, either too cold or too hot.

Let me know what you end up with.  We have new 176S - haven't been able to camp with it yet, but just while working on it, noticed this already that the differential and cycle is too big - wondering what a better thermostat option is. 🙂

Changing out the thermostat is a simple and wonderful upgrade you can do.  I wrote up a little how-to on this in an earlier post/thread here,

My new thermostat has been in for 2+ years now and works great.  So accurate and simple to set the temp.  The factory one was awful!
