We broke out of our home confinement this past week to venture into the Sierra foothills. Had a really nice, secluded camp site at GoldCounty campgrounds, Pine Grove, Ca. The temps were near 100F during the day and about 85F by dark. Hey we are coastal folk, can't have everything. We did have some visitors to our campfire one evening. Took a drive up Hwy 88 20200526_141528_copy_800x600.jpg  20200527_131310_copy_800x600.jpg  20200526_141550_copy_800x600.jpg  20200527_192238_copy_800x600.jpg  20200527_192220_copy_800x600.jpg  20200527_191905_copy_800x600.jpg  to Kirkwood ski resort. Temps about 75F, What a relief. We had to leave a day early tho as Nellie , our Beagle somehow pulled a toe nail, not much blood but no weight bearing. We are taking her in to the Vet for a check. Don't want any infections. Anyway, so great to get out and we welcome the news of more States opening up to camping. May take a trip to Lander,Wy in June and camp at Sinks Canyon. Take care , all. Be safe and HAPPY TRAILS.

Very nice, Mark. Good to get out again, eh? The domesticated deer are a nice touch!
We manged to get out this past weekend, also — escaped the homestead to visit Hills Creek State Park in northern PA toward the NY border. Good trip, but forgot to get any campsite pix, have to do better next time.
