Hi,
bought second hand retro 509 a year ago Easter ( so 2019) I travelled 4 provinces of Canada a ferry ride & sleeper to collect paid for but  sight unseen retro 509. No gas powered shocks for back kitchen hatch . Previous owner said huge wind broke them off so he removed. Really  need to know length of shocks &  strength in lbs to replace so I don’t have heavy hatch fall on top of me . I camp alone with dogs . Any/ all help much appreciated . And placement of shocks please and thanks . Gail in Newfoundland Canada . Small time RV place here couldn’t help me

Issue is: I need to know a specific length and strength of shock required ... then I could buy the shocks - but I can't go by previous numbers on the shocks on the retro jr #509 because none existed on retro rv when purchased .
Thanks ,
Gail

This is on my 2020. Not sure if it would be the same as a 2015 but I wouldn’t think much has been changed in the design. Kencon is the company.

Hi! I just was cleaning / painting inside back hatch of my 2015 retro jr 509 and came across some numbers on the left side of hatch door. Never noticed them before and I'm wondering if they would perhaps be the specifics of the gas shocks required ? Could it be that simple ?

They are: 575 Bag 54.75 x 36.5 TH ML /CRWH 40; 0
I'm unsure what all of your numbers mean that you so kindly sent to me

Would it be possible fir you to measure shuck when you back kitchen hatch door is extended up/ open please ? And also measure distance of where the latches are on inside of your hatch and also on door ? I'd be very appreciative of that help ( and give direction of measurement Eg
x amount inches / or cm down from top ?
Thanks so much

Gail
