The park is beautiful and large. 2 lakes, 4 large camping loops. 15 full hookups, 25 ish electric only and lots of dry camping.  There is about 7 hiking trails which can be used for biking as well.
Boat rental and a pool. Not far from Lancaster and Reading. Awe state park. Here are some pictures  IMG_20200612_150437_630.jpg  IMG_20200612_150437_628.jpg

Glad you enjoyed! We were there a few years ago. Lots of rain, in a low-lying site. Quite soggy. Happy you had a sunny, happy time. And a nice (if delayed) start to the 2020 season.

Curious why you picked French Creek over other eastern PA state parks. We are fairly close to French Creek, but have never been. Will look into it now.

@Tim S we choose French Creek for a couple of reason. We visited the lancaster area last year and was looking for a place to cool down (closer then some lake beaches and this park has a public pool. Which we enjoyed and was told by staff about camping.  We liked the vast amount of things to do and wanted to return.
Secondly, at the time we booked we were interested in the historical sites to visit. As we all know Covid  changed that. We look forward to going back soon.  If you have some other ground in northern eastern PA that would be great. We love to explore

Hi,
We have been to Promised Land SP many times, Ricketts Glen, and last summer Francis Slocum near York, PA. Had some discussion last year about getting together some Retros somewhere in PA, and you would certainly be invited. Covid kinda put a freeze on the planning and discussion, but French Creek might be a place where we could get multiple sites even this late in the season- based on what I just searched- at least the electric-only sites. Just a thought.  Last summer, we also went to Watkins Glen SP- NY, we did not have a great site, low and wet, but otherwise that is also a great area if you have never been there- hike the gorge, nice town and, of course, wine country!

Would love to met up with fellow retro owners.
We are actually going to Watkins Glen in 3 weeks.
Our first time visiting that area. Looking forward to it.
