My second camping trip with my 150.  I went to Eastman Lake as it isn't to far away, but where I don't usually go during the summer, as it is hot hot hot there.  I needed to renew my senior card so I can continue to get half price.  If they have the cards there you can renew it there .  If you do it online you have to pay a processing fee.  The hostess she could take the camp site fee but I would need a ranger to renew my card.  I thought I lucked out when one showed up.  But he didn't  have any on him.but said he would check at the station and when he comes back I could pay the campsite fee and for the card then, if they had any in stock.  He never showed, but finely another ranger came , he also did not have the card I would need to go to the station the next morning.  The next morning I decided to ride my trike before it got to hot.  Lucky me there was a ranger there and she had the cards with her.  So I am set for the year.  Should of just paid the 80 for the lifetime one, instead of paying 20 a year for the first 3 yrs then the 4th year you pay 20 and trade the 3 cards that you have for the lifetime one. I did not turn 62 until after the new price went in effect.
Previously I complained  about my sink and shower draining  slowly.  Well that was my fault.  With the portable tote I have you are suppose to have the little
Vent hole open when you are draining into it not just for when you are draining the tote.

Is that the America the Beautiful Pass? I was bummed about the price change too, I just missed the age cutoff for that. But I bugged my husband until he got one, right before the price went up.

Eastman Lake looks cool ... er, "nice" maybe not especially "cool" at this time of year? 🙂
We just booked some time in Aug. at Ives Run - an Army Corps of Engineers location in N. Central PA, just S. of the NY border. Have an American the Beautiful Pass, but couldn't locate asap lat night when booking, and wanted to lock in the lakeside site we stumbled onto pronto ... wonder if they'll take the discount off when we arrive? (tho not such a big deal - only #35 a night water & elec, anyhow).

Eastman Lake 15  a  night with the American the Beautiful Pass.  They keep this campground very clean and the restrooms and showers too.  It's just so hot this time of the year.  This was the first year I seen turkeys in the campground.
