Last week we spent 3 days, 2 nights dry camping on the Crystal River near Marble, CO. Perfect weather- warm days, cool nights. Many compliments from other campers on the 177SE. I added an Equal-I-Zer WD/anti-sway hitch after our Arches trip. That stopped the minor see-sawing I noticed during the Arches excursion. We did an 8 mile round trip hike to the old Crystal City mill. The cold beer and excellent BBQ at Slow Groovin' BBQ (the best - and only)  restaurant in Marble was an adequate reward for the hike.

Did you see the airport at Marble? Pics from there have made their way in several flying magazines over the years. I fly into Aspen and always enjoy driving around that part of the country.

We didn't see any airport at Marble or any aircraft in the area except those headed for Aspen/ Eagle.

What's the name of the campground you stayed at? I love the Crystal River valley; I spent many summers there with my first husband and kids through the 80's and 90's. Redstone is a fun little place to visit, and there was an outfit that gave day rides and dinner rides across from the coke ovens. Our girls loved the horses and the cowboys were great cooks.
