We are staying 9 nights while we investigate the greater Denver area. Our granddaughter lives just 6 hours up the road in Lander Wy. We live 3 days away in Cali. Also gotta follow Kaiser health insurance.
This is a very small city campground. Every other site is closed due to the virus. At $30/night we couldn't pass it up.

Mark, from your pix, looks like a very clean & well maintained campground. Here's wishing you a good, safe and healthy trip!

Thank you all for your posts. The campground has been closed until recently so weed abatement is lacking. Very quiet and extremely clean. Masks are worn. In the showers . The Denver area we have visited is ",masks on all".  The going rate at nearby campgrounds is $50-$75/ night. Of course they get Cable. I am picking up 4 channels with the Retro antenna, occassionally.
Discover a flat on the trailer, took to be repaired, no way Jose,! Broken belt. Man were we lucky it didn't fail coming down Hwy70, from 10k ft.
Replaced with GoodYear  Endurance  tires so $330 later and no white walls!!!!!!! Oh well, I think I got a better tire. Mine were only 1 yrs old.
Hope you all can get out and camp.
Happy Trails!

That's scary with the tire. So glad it turned out ok! May I ask why you chose Good Year Endurance? My trailer came with Load Star and look like they are getting some wear. I am debating on whether to preemptively replace them and with what brand.
Happy camping!

Mustangjewelie, from all my reading posts for the past 3 yrs, the Goodyear Endurance seems to get the nods. The Goodyear tire may be overkill for a smaller trailer but that's the one I wanted. Do a search and I think you will find many positive reports. They ain't white walls tho and that's a bummer.

Thanks for the reply Mark. I was reviewing some of those posts and the Good Year feedback does sound positive. I'd rather have soundness of mind than white walls if I had to choose between the two (though I would miss the look.) Have a great day!

Most white walls are applied to the rubber after the tire is made. I may try paint. Well, maybe not, my hand is not so steady!!!!

My wife is already dreading the day when she can't have white walls.  Though I remember someone posting about a kit you can do yourself

Bcoem11, if you wife gets good at it, she will attract some business. Whitewalls all around! We left the Retro at our son's in Lander.  The Goodyears handled nicely on the 6 hr drive north from Golden. Bought a house outside of Denver in a newer town called Thornton. Sold our home in Kali and we are boxes deep in packing 22 yrs of accumulating stuff! Moving van arriving on the 10th. YIKES!!!
