Been on a month trip and visited Virginia, Maryland, Gettysburg, PA. and Tennessee.  Saw a lot of battlefields: New Market, Manassas, and Gettysburg.  Toured the Whitehouse and Capitol.  The Shenandoah National Park in Virginia is a pretty drive, but little else to do.  Came back by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which is beautiful and plenty to see and do.  Then we traveled to Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry.  Now on last stop in Memphis, TN before heading home. Joe, we had a good trip and will be home tomorrow afternoon (Sunday, July 15, 2018).  However, never again do I want to fight the traffic, people, Metro Trains, and endless walking in Washington, DC.  Give me the wide open Rocky Mountains any day.
