We have 2017 Retro 195 and when we leave for day we leave small dog in camper with AC running with coldness at coldest and fan at highest setting. When we return we must turn off for about an hour as will be blowing warm air. We think it is because there is no thermostat on the wall. Is there a secret setting to prevent this from happening? This is our second unit ( under warranty) as first unit had a bolt sticking out on roof and rubbed a hole in Freon pipe and all freon leaked out and compressor burned up,from vibration in travel. Would it keep from freezing up
If coolness and fan were at halfway/ lower setting. Please let me know your experiences.

I don't know how long it ran before it cycled off, but you may take a look at the topic Dometic AC.  I think it is under General topic.  You can also do a search.

I also know that I once had a car ac that would freeze up and get ice on the vents, then stop cooling.  In that case is was low Freon.

To help keep the coils from freezing, always run it on high cool, that pushes the most air, which helps keep it from freezing. But, turn the thermostat to a warmer setting so it cycles on/off. Make sure the filter is clean.

Could be a slow leek in freon. This happens with house central air units.
